We've come across some pretty strange stories here at Outside the Boxscore but this one ranks up there as one of the strangest.
A women's soccer player at the University of Georgia named Carli Shultis was arrested trying to steal some hash browns...that's right...hash browns:
According to the Athens Banner-Herald, Carli Shultis, 19, was arrested by UGA Campus Police and charged with misdemeanor shoplifting after she was spotted by a restaurant employee allegedly put hash browns down her pants, then walked away without paying for them.Shultis was taken to the county jail and released on $1,500 bail.
Police say that Shultis admitted taking the $1.06 order of hash browns.
