College soccer player arrested for stealing hash browns, tried to stuff them down her pants

We've come across some pretty strange stories here at Outside the Boxscore but this one ranks up there as one of the strangest.

A women's soccer player at the University of Georgia named Carli Shultis was arrested trying to steal some hash browns...that's right...hash browns:
According to the Athens Banner-Herald, Carli Shultis, 19, was arrested by UGA Campus Police and charged with misdemeanor shoplifting after she was spotted by a restaurant employee allegedly put hash browns down her pants, then walked away without paying for them.

Police say that Shultis admitted taking the $1.06 order of hash browns.
Shultis was taken to the county jail and released on $1,500 bail.
