New York Mets home run apple malfunctions during game (Video)

There are many things synonymous with the New York Mets and one of those things is the "Home Run Apple" that pops up in the outfield after a Mets homer.

During a recent game against the Baltimore Orioles however, the Home Run Apple had a brief malfunction which caused it to show up during an Orioles at-bat.

When Baltimore's Chris Davis was at the plate in the first inning, home plate umpire Eric Cooper spotted the apple and stopped play to have go back into the depths of Citi Field:
