Steve Bernier's boarding penalty dooms New Jersey Devils in Stanley Cup Finals Game 6 (Video)

The Los Angeles Kings look to be on their way to winning the 2012 Stanley Cup and a boarding penalty by New Jersey's Steve Bernier might be the reason why.

It happened midway through the first period of play as Bernier hit Kings defenseman Rob Scuderi against the boards as Scuderi attempted to clear the puck.

Bernier was assessed a five-minute boarding penalty and a game misconduct as Scuderi left the ice bleeding from his nose and mouth.

After the penalty was assessed, Los Angeles would go onto to score three goals during the power play:
