University of Texas football team pays tribute to Darrell Royal, runs wishbone play (Video)

Earlier this week, the University of Texas was saddened to hear the news of the passing of former head football coach Darrell Royal.

Royal won three National Championships at Texas and finished his coaching career with the Longhorns with a record of 167–47–5.

During today's game against Iowa State, the current football team paid tribute to Royal by running their first play out of the wishbone formation that he made famous:

To recap the play itself, QB David Ash throws the ball to Jaxon Shipley who then passes it back to Ash and the play ends in a 47-yard gain for tight-end Greg Daniels.
