If we learn anything from these pictures of Houston Texans players wearing their brand new lettermen jackets, I have a feeling that many Houston nerds are going to be beat up this weekend.
The idea came from nose tackle Shaun Cody and below are just some of the images of the players showing off their new jackets created by a local Houston clothing distributor, Bull Shirts:
Each jacket only had the player's number, position, and the Texans logo along with a future possibility of being able to add patches later (division titles, players awards, etc.)
Texans linebacker Connor Barwin was pleased with how the jackets turned out:
“The jackets turned out awesome,” Barwin said on the team's official website.
(Player identities from top to bottom: linebacker Connor Barwin with defensive lineman Antonio Smith, defensive end J.J. Watt, and cornerback Kareem Jackson)
“I used to say before the season it feels like we’re on a college team,” Barwin told the Houston Chronicle. “Everybody gets along, we have so much fun. And this jacket, you feel like you’re on a high school team where it’s all about winning, it’s all about being around a group of guys. This jacket is just another symbol of that."
