One of the things that I love about sports is the fact that heart-warming moments can happen at any time.
Yesterday, 7-year-old Jack Hoffman (who is diagnosed with brain cancer) got the chance of a lifetime to score a touchdown during the Nebraska spring football game.
Hoffman became involved with the program last year after he struck up a friendship with former Huskers running back Rex Burkhead.
Thanks to an idea by fullback C.J. Zimmerer and football operations director Jeff Jamrog, Jack got his moment late in the fourth quarter:
