Baltimore Orioles to sweep Tampa Bay Rays - (Sponsored Post)

Baltimore Orioles fans hoping their side can achieve a second successive run into the playoffs this fall know all too well early-season wins make all the difference.

The Os have been strong this spring after currently sit second in the AL East with a 23-16 record after close of play on Tuesday night. They have a rest day on Thursday following a brief series with the Padres and this weekend face three home ties with divisional rivals Tampa Bay.

This weekend series is not going to be simple but fans who bet on MLB should still seriously consider the Orioles good money to take it 3-0. Their first series with the Rays came at the start of the season and Buck Showalter’s men got off to a good start, winning 2-1 on the road with convincing performances at the plate.

Chris Davis smashed an MLB record after making 16 RBIs in his first four games of the season, while Ryan Flaherty and Adam Jones are both hitting well this spring.

Starter Jason Hammel threw with good figures on opening day and is likely to pitch on Friday against Jeremy Hellickson. Hammel has a 5-1 record this season and although he carries a heavy 4.93 ERA is likely to do the business on day one.

Although it is still unclear who will take up pitching duties into the weekend the online sports betting odds still have Baltimore down as strong favourites for this series, so good has their offense been this season.

Tampa’s Roberto Hernandez and Matt Moore are likely to struggle against Flaherty and young rising star Manny Machado, who has hits in all but two of his appearances in 2013.

With confident batters down the line Baltimore are a good bet to win this game 3-0 against a Rays side that are 6-12 on the road this season.
