For those of you looking for an uplifting story to get you through this Saturday, let us bring to you the story of 7-year-old A.J. who was attendance at the Phillies/Marlins game on Friday night.
A.J. is blind and got a chance to meet Phillies slugger Ryan Howard on the field before the game as part of Teacher Appreciation Night (where A.J. nominated his braille teacher from Hopewell Elementary School).
While talking with Ryan, A.J. gave him a special wristband and asked him to hit a home run for him. In the second inning of play, Howard blasted a home run into the right field seats at Citizens Bank Ballpark:
